Beijing Energy International and Xincheng County Government of Guangxi Signed a Framework Agreement for the Development of Wind Power Project

On October 9, 2021, Zhu Jun, president of Beijing Energy International Co., Ltd., met with Wei Meng, secretary of Xincheng County Party Committee in Guangxi. The two sides held talks on comprehensive and in-depth strategic cooperation and signed a framework agreement for the development of wind power projects in Xincheng County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Mai Jialong, member of the Standing Committee of Xincheng County Committee, deputy magistrate of County Government, and Wei Xianjuan, deputy magistrate of County Government; Hou Zhiguo, general manager of Beijing Energy International South China Branch, attended the meeting.




Wei Meng said that Xincheng County Government welcomed Beijing Energy International’s presence in local new energy investment and construction and would actively provide good services for investment and construction players, promote investors to fully play their roles, improve local energy industry structure, boost local economy, energy conservation and emission reduction and new energy construction to achieve common development.



Zhu Jun introduced to the leaders of Xincheng County Government the planning objectives of the company, the advantages of its mechanism and the concept of business cooperation. He said that Xincheng County enjoyed good ecological conditions, favorable natural resources endowment such as wind energy, and a very broad market and demand prospect in new energy, ecological environment protection, etc. Beijing Energy International will give full play to its advantages in business operation, and closely align itself with the local strategy of “rejuvenating Guangxi” during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, so as to boost the county’s green development.




Subsequently, the two sides signed a framework agreement for the development of wind power projects in Xincheng County. The wind farm will be developed and constructed by Beijing Energy International in Xincheng County. The names of each wind farm will be determined according to the approval documents. It is estimated that the total installed capacity will be 300MW and the total investment will be around 2.8 billion. The wind farm is located in Masi Township and Andong Township in Xincheng County. The project will be constructed in different phases. After the completion of the project, it can effectively alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand of regional power grids, help local governments consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation, promote sustainable economic development and realize rural revitalization.
