On October 12, 2021, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International met with Ai Yilun, Vice President of Hainan Farm Investment Holding Group in Haikou, Hainan province. The two sides had an exchange on cooperation in new energy, recreation and tourism. Sui Xiaofeng, General Manager of Strategic Development of Beijing Energy Holdings Co., Ltd.; Sun Yutong, General Manager of Trade and Investment Services Department of Hainan Farm, Xia Zhaojin, Deputy General Manager of Trade and Investment Services Department of Hainan Farm, Dai Xinxiang, Deputy General Manager of Strategic Planning Department, Meng Xiaoliang, Chairman of Hainan Farm Industrial, and Lin Fengyuan, Deputy General Manager of Hainan Rubber; Hou Zhiguo, General Manager of Beijing Energy International South China Branch, and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Ai Yilun welcomed Zhang Ping and his delegation and introduced the current development and future plan of Hainan Farm Investment Holding Group. He said that Hainan Farm was a wholly state-owned enterprise directly under the Hainan provincial government and had a total land area of nearly 10 million mu (around 1.65 million acres), which contained rich ecological and tourism resources, with the largest natural rubber production base and a key tropical crop production base in China. He said that Hainan Farm was ready to work with a strong player like Beijing Energy Holdings to focus on smart towns, renovation of rubber processing plants and other projects, and deepen cooperation in new energy, comprehensive smart energy, recreation and tourism, in a bid to leverage their complementary advantages and deliver mutual benefit.
Sui Xiaofeng introduced the past development, new energy business, tourism, health care and other segments of Beijing Energy International. He stressed that Beijing Energy International was an industry champion well known for its rapid development and good reputation with flexible mechanism, and it was also a pilot SOE for mixed-ownership reform and a red-chip company. He hoped that the two parties would further cooperate in various fields and realize common development through a long-term strategic partnership.
Zhang Ping introduced the development plan of Beijing Energy International and said that Hainan was one of the key areas for investment in new energy and comprehensive smart energy, and that the innovative development concepts of the two parties were highly aligned. He hoped that launching cooperative projects would be a good starting point and that cooperation mode and plan needed to be improved, and cooperation in new energy and comprehensive smart energy should be enhanced. He also said that drawing on the three major advantages of Hainan in terms of ecological environment, special economic zones and international tourist islands, the two parties could boost greater achievement and attain the dual carbon goal earlier.
