On January 31, 2023, Zhang Ping, chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International met with Wang Haigang, deputy secretary of Tongyu County Committee of Baicheng City, Jilin Province. The two sides exchanged on in-depth cooperation in new energy and signed a framework agreement on investment cooperation in new energy projects. Tian Jin, deputy magistrate of Tongyu County, and Jia Geng, vice president of Beijing Energy International, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.
During the meeting, Zhang Ping welcomed Wang Haigang and his delegation, and introduced the development and future planning of Beijing Energy International. He said that the company focuses on building itself into a first-class international clean energy provider, green investor and operator, and now it is amid high-quality and rapid development. Jilin is one of the key areas of new energy investment of the company. It will give full play to its own professional advantages to foster industrial synergy and increase the investment in new energy in the county in consideration of local development needs and energy structure characteristics, so as to boost the landing of the industry and upgrade the regional new energy industry, deliver both social and economic benefits, and contribute to the early realization of the dual carbon goal in Jilin.
Wang Haigang introduced the new energy resources and local development planning in the county. Relying on abundant wind and light resources, the county continues to expand the development of wind power and has started to build a wind power industrial chain cluster integrating wind power with manufacturing and explores the sustainable development pathway of local industries. Wang Haigang said that Beijing Energy International is well known for its flexible mechanism and has scored amazing achievements in the field of new energy. The government welcomes it to invest in the county and hopes that the two sides will continue to cooperate in developing new energy projects. The county will provide all-round policy support and service guarantee, promote the cooperation between local government and enterprises in pursuit of common development, in order to contribute to the attainment of the country’s green energy and low-carbon transformation.
Finally, the two sides signed a framework agreement on investment cooperation in new energy projects, according to which, the two sides will establish a comprehensive, positive and stable cooperative relationship, fully leverage their respective strengths, effectively utilize wind and light resources in accordance with the principle of “sincere cooperation and mutual benefit”, and develop and construct new energy projects of gigawatt-level in the county to serve local economic and social development.
