On February 8, 2023, Zhang Ping, chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International met with Wang Hongbin, party secretary and chairman of Xuanhua Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. (or Xuan Steel) in Beijing. The two sides exchanged on expanding and deepening cooperation in new energy. Du Yonggang, director of New Energy Development Department of Xuan Steel, Jiang Tao, director of Operation Improvement Department; Jia Geng, vice president of Beijing Energy International, He Kun, General Manager of Northeast Branch Company and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.

During the meeting, both sides agree that the two companies enjoy their existing close ties and smooth communication and have established friendly and mutually beneficial cooperative relations. Going forward, on the basis of the signed Cooperation Agreement on Green Energy and Zero-carbon Manufacturing Industry Demonstration Park, the two sides will strengthen communication for consensus-building, pool their joint efforts to effectively promote the implementation of Xuanhua Distributed Project in Xuanhua District, Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, and accelerate the implementation of other projects. They will use their respective leading advantages in the industries and expand cooperation in new energy, green hydrogen, energy storage and other fields, so as to jointly contribute to the integrated and coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and to the early realization of the national dual carbon goal.
