On February 25, 2023, Beijing Energy International was invited to participate in the Symposium on the Construction of Mengdong (Tongliao) Wind Power Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Base Project and the Project Promotion Meeting of National Wind Farm Base organized by Tongliao Municipal Committee and Municipal Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Meng Xiandong, secretary of Tongliao Municipal Party Committee, Qi Dalengtai, deputy secretary of Municipal Party Committee and acting mayor of Municipal Government; Zhu Jun, president of Beijing Energy International, Jia Geng, vice president, Fan Liyun, engineering director and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on wind power projects and the construction of equipment manufacturing bases.

Zhu Jun thanked the Tongliao Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for their strong support to and trust in Beijing Energy International. He said that Tongliao has distinctive industrial system, abundant wind and solar resources, outstanding location advantages and good business environment, and the construction of wind power equipment manufacturing industrial base in Mengdong (Tongliao) has broad opportunities and great potential. He pointed out that the company has always regarded Tongliao as an important strategic development place. Going forward, it will accelerate the construction of wind power projects and make it operational as soon as possible, so as to contribute to local green and low-carbon transformation as well as regional socioeconomic development.

Meng Xiandong said that the construction of the industrial base was kicked off two years ago and is expected to be completed and operated this year or in the coming year. He hoped to see the continuous efforts of participating enterprises to ensure its early completion and early fruition while seizing the opportunities. It is hoped that all parties will strengthen communication and consultation, make early preparations for equipment procurement and installation and personnel training for the early operation of the project. The party committee and government will provide all-round support and service guarantee to realize the common development and mutual benefit. Leaders of Longma Holding Group, PowerChina Jiangxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd., SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corporation, Xinjiang’s Goldwind Technology, Sany Renewable Energy Co., Ltd., CSSC Haizhuang Wind Power, Jiangsu CRRC Electric Co., Ltd., Luoyang Sunrui Wind Turbine Blade and Ruixiang Heavy Industry attended the meeting.
