On July 12, 2023, Beijing Energy International and China COSCO Shipping Corporation held talks in Shanghai, and the two sides exchanged on in-depth cooperation in new energy and green methanol. Vice president Wang Liuhu and vice president Wu Chaoke of Beijing Energy International, and Dong Yuhang, deputy general manager of the Strategic Planning Department of China COSCO Shipping, and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the two sides introduced their respective business fields and industrial layout. It is agreed that both companies are highly aligned in development concepts, enjoy strong business complementarity and broad cooperation potential and space. In the future, they will strengthen communication, give full play to their respective advantages in resources, technology and talented professionals, and carry out in-depth cooperation in new energy investment, green methanol production and green methanol supply chain construction, so as to create synergy for win-win results, and contribute to technological innovation, business development as well as the low-carbon transformation of national energy structure.
