On May 25, Beijing Energy International’s Lingge 17.7MW distributed photovoltaic project in Nanchang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jiangxi Province, was successfully connected to power grid for electricity generation.
This project marks the first distributed PV power station in Jiangxi equipped with energy storage. Situated within the premises of Lingge Nonferrous Metals Processing Co., Ltd. in Nanchang, it utilizes the roofs of color steel workshops, concrete roofs, newly constructed steel structure carports, and newly developed ground PV sites to establish the distributed PV system. It operates under a “self-consumption with excess electricity uploading to the grid” mode. Upon commissioning, the project is expected to generate approximately 6.96 million kWh of electricity annually, save about 2,227.2 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 6,939 tons. This project has significant environmental and social benefits and will further support the clean and low-carbon energy transition in Nanchang.
