Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Administration of China announced the National Standard Announcement of the People’s Republic of China (No. 9 of 2024). The national standard GB/T 44079-2024 “Operation Procedures for Tower Solar Thermal Power Plants,” co-compiled by Beijing Energy International, has been officially released and implemented. This standard is China’s first operating standard for tower solar thermal power plants. Its release not only marks a breakthrough for Beijing Energy International in the field of national standard formulation but also highlights the company’s technical strength and industry status in the new energy sector.
With the steady advancement of new energy project construction under the national “14th Five-Year Plan,” new business forms and models for new energy development and utilization are constantly emerging. The newly released standard systematically sets forth production and operation-related work norms applicable to molten salt storage tower solar thermal power plants in this emerging industry. The standard provides guidelines in terms of terminology and definitions, basic regulations, inspections, monitoring operations, abnormal operations, and fault handling. It holds significant importance for standardizing production operations in the solar thermal industry, promoting sustainable development, and conserving resources.
