On August 14, Beijing Energy International made significant strides in its project development efforts, winning a construction quota for a 229.6 MW photovoltaic project in Baoshan, Yunnan. This marks another major breakthrough in the company’s self-developed new energy initiatives within the province.
The quota encompasses three projects located in Shidian County and Longling County of Baoshan, primarily focusing on integrating forestry and tea plantations with solar energy production. Once operational, the projects are expected to generate approximately 384 million kilowatt-hours of clean, green electricity annually, equivalent to saving 117,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 312,600 tons. These projects will further optimize local energy structure, promote regional economic development, and contribute to the high-quality growth of Baoshan’s energy industry.
