On September 23, Beijing Energy International was invited to participate in the online signing ceremony for the Cougar Project. Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Beijing Energy International, signed the private placement agreement with Highfield Resources Limited of Australia on behalf of the company.

In his speech at the ceremony, Zhang Ping congratulated Shandong Energy Group for successfully facilitating the agreement’s signing and expressed gratitude to the investors for their trust in the company and the opportunity to participate in the private placement. He emphasized that Beijing Energy International and Shandong Energy Group share a highly aligned vision of green and high-quality development. With their complementary strengths and leading expertise, Zhang expressed the hope that the signing ceremony would serve as a stepping stone for deepening cooperation between the two parties, driving forward the sustainable development path of modern industrialization, where humans and nature coexist harmoniously on an international scale. 

The online signing ceremony for the Cougar Project, hosted by Shandong Energy Group and Highland Resources Limited of Australia, was held to celebrate the successful signing of the private placement agreement with cornerstone Chinese investors, including Yankuang Energy Group Company, Beijing Energy International, and Taizhong Trading. This event holds great significance in advancing China’s “one-third potash fertilizer production abroad” strategy, which aims to establish potash fertilizer manufacturing facilities overseas and feed domestic supply. Attendees of the virtual ceremony included Li Wei, Chairman of Shandong Energy Group, Paul Harris, Chairman of Highfield Resources Limited, Owen Hegarty, Executive Chairman of EMR Capital, and Jia Geng, Vice President of Beijing Energy International, along with other relevant personnel.
