On March 30, 2023, the 4.086MW distributed photovoltaic project of Xuanhua Iron and Steel Group (hereinafter referred to as “Xuan Steel”) in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province was successfully connected to the grid with full capacity for power generation, which lays a solid foundation for the follow-up cooperation between Beijing Energy International and Xuan Steel.

The project is located in Xuan Steel Plant, Xuanhua District of Zhangjiakou City. The main plant area is about 36,000 square meters, with an installed capacity of 4.086MW. The project can supply electricity for its self-use, with the surplus connecting to the grid. After the project is put into operation, it is estimated to generate about 4,869,030 kWh of green electricity on average annually, saving about 14.96 million tons of standard coal, and cutting about 4,846 tons of carbon dioxide emission, delivering remarkable social, environmental and economic benefits, promoting the economic development and clean energy transformation of Zhangjiakou City and contributing to the attainment of the national dual carbon goal at an early date.
