On April 4, 2023, BJ ENERGY INTL’s COSCO 6MW Distributed Photovoltaic Project in Lingang, Pudong New Area, was approved by the Development and Construction Management Committee of Lin-gang Special Area. It marks a breakthrough of the company in independently developing new energy project in Shanghai. The company will continue to strengthen its all-round cooperation with state-owned enterprises in Shanghai.

The project is located in Qiuxiang Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai. It uses the rooftop of the existing factory buildings of COSCO Container Lines Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, with a planned total installed capacity of 6MW, and 100% of the electricity generated will be grid-connected. After the project is up and running, it is estimated to produce about 6 million kWh of clean and green electricity every year, equivalent to saving about 1,817 tons of standard coal and reducing about 5,159 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, helping Shanghai achieve the dual carbon goal at an early date.
