On March 19, the symposium on the supporting power supply for the “Jilin Electricity Entering Beijing” Project (i.e. Northeast Songliao Clean Energy Base Electricity Transmission to North China Project) was held in Changchun City, Jilin Province. Wu Chaoke, vice president of Beijing Energy International, attended the meeting on behalf of the company.
During the meeting, a research team composed of members from National Energy Administration, China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute (EPPEI), and the State Grid Economic and Technological Research Institute listened to the presentations from relevant units in Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces, gaining in-depth understanding of the energy endowment and geographical advantages of the two provinces. After the meeting, the team will conduct a three-day on-site investigation in the two provinces to inspect the construction conditions of supporting thermal power and new energy sources for the “Jilin Electricity Entering Beijing” project.
This field trip will effectively promote the development and implementation of the project, providing important basis for comprehensive coordination of regional resources, transmission corridors, and energy consumption, and adding momentum to the construction of this project as a major landmark one to build a national-level clean energy production base and strengthen the functional “Four Centers” construction of Beijing.
