On February 26, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Beijing Energy International met in Beijing with Liu Shujun, Deputy Secretary of the Weihai Municipal Committee of Shandong. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on cooperation in the new energy sector.
During the meeting, both parties introduced their business development and future plans, engaging in extensive discussions on green energy collaboration. They agreed that Weihai boasts abundant resources and a favorable investment environment, while Beijing Energy International operates with a flexible and efficient mechanism, sustaining strong growth momentum. With highly aligned development philosophies in the green energy sector, both sides will establish a long-term communication mechanism to advance offshore wind power, ammonia-methanol production with wind and solar power, and other projects. Leveraging demonstration projects as a foundation, they aim to improve the new energy and shipbuilding industry chains, complement each other’s strengths, and work together to inject new vitality into Weihai’s marine energy economy, supporting the city’s transition to green and low-carbon energy.
The meeting was attended by Yu Xiaodong, Deputy Secretary of the Huancui District Committee and District Chief of Weihai; Zhang Yuanbo, Director of the Weihai Office in Beijing and Secretary of the mobile Party members in Beijing; Hou Weiqiang, Party Committee Member of the Bureau of Commerce and Director of the Weihai Global Partners Business Center; Liu Dawei, Party Secretary of the Huancui District Bureau of Commerce; Liu Lintao, Deputy Director of the Huancui District Development and Reform Bureau.
